在周二奋勇淘汰19岁的捷克天才美少女瓦伊迪索娃之后，郑洁成为中国第一个，同时也是亚洲第三位在大满贯赛杀入女单半决赛的选手。
自1996年的温布尔登大赛起，整整12年之后，亚洲女选手方才再次进入到了大满贯赛的单打四强。
郑洁还创造了赛会131年历史中第一个持外卡闯入女单四强的神奇纪录，同时她还成为网球运动1968年进入公开赛时代，40年来继遇刺后复出的塞莱斯在1995年的美网夺得亚军之后，持外卡参赛的选手在四大满贯赛女单赛事中的第二好成绩。
是能够为亚洲女子网坛创造历史的进入第一个冠亚军争夺战，还是在半决赛中止步，遗憾错过再次书写另一段传奇历史的人生时刻，郑洁vs小威廉姆斯，将为我们揭晓这个答案。
